Non-Governmental Organizations

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are independent, non-profit groups organized around a mission and focused activities in order to achieve it. NGOs are vastly diverse and essential to the fight against malaria. They range from advocacy groups, like Africa Fighting Malaria, to faith-based networks, like Nets For Life, to fundraising groups, like Malaria No More. The on-the-ground infrastructure and experience of community-based NGOs is often critical to ensuring that health policy change is made effectively and in partnership with the groups it is intended to help.
