"People of Uganda, I have a message for you about your safety. Your president wants to murder you in broad daylight. He wants to spray you with DDT but DDT is a dangerous chemical. DDT will contaminate everything. Your mangoes: DDT. The trees: DDT. Everything: DDT. Uganda cannot survive without our environment and our economy. Our fish exports, our fruit, everything destroyed by DDT. Anyone who wants DDT in Uganda is a madman and should be locked up.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it gets worse. DDT causes liver cancer, blindness, brain damage and kidney failure. On top of that, DDT is not mixed with water, but benzene, ethanol, chloroform or petroleum. Mixing with DDT - that will lead to extra dangerous environmental implications. If DDT is not dangerous, why must the spraymen wear protective clothing? Who will protect you? Are you strong enough to face DDT?
"So it is clear that DDT is dangerous to man. Uganda had money to fight malaria and it was stolen by your government. Now they want to spray you with chemicals. Why don't you resist? You fundamental human rights, you can fight for your freedom. You can protect yourself. And if you protect yourself, get your saw, your machete, your axe. Greet the spraymen at your house. Don't kill. Don't kill. But if the Lord directs your machete to them, you won't be held responsible in the eyes of God."
