The African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) is a coalition of 40 African Heads of State with a common goal: to bring malaria deaths to near zero across the continent by 2015. The latest step in this effort is the ALMA Scorecard for Accountability and Action, which will be formally launched by African and international leaders on September 19th.

The UK All Party Parliamentary Malaria Group and the UK Coalition Against Malaria are organising a reception in the House of Commons on Africa Malaria Day 2007, on the theme of 'Partnerships for a Malaria-Free World'. The Africa Malaria Day event on 25th April at 5-7pm, Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons, is being made possible by a Europe-wide project, the European Alliance Against Malaria, led in the UK by the Malaria Consortium with partners Bartley-Robbs, and in Europe by the Red Cross EU office. The Alliance project is one of the main sponsors of this AMD event
